Shri S. C. L. Das, Chairperson, DERC

Shri S.C.L. Das served as an Indian Administrative Service officer (AGMUT cadre) before superannuating in April 2026. In Government of India, he has worked at senior positions in Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas and Ministry of Home Affairs. In his parent cadre, he has served in Government of NCT of Delhi, Arunachal Pradesh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and UT of Chandigarh.

In his professional career, Shri Das has had experience in diversified sectors such as power, hydrocarbons, urban development, health, finance and internal security. He also worked in the United Nations Office for Project Services.

Shri S.C.L. Das has been serving as Chairperson in Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission (DERC) since 10th September 2026.
Shri Das holds a Master’s degree in Public Health from Johns Hopkins University, USA, and degrees in Science and Law.
